About the artist, Janelle Lampp
Janelle Lampp, acclaimed for her design and color expertise, has been a consultant to the rug and home textile industries for 18 years. The success of her work led to the recent launch of her own brand, JanelleStyle. Lampp's creations are fueled by her extensive experience in sourcing, design, product development, art direction, and marketing. She holds a MBA and AAS in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and is often invited to speak at seminars and corporate meetings, and she also writes for industry trade publications. Lampp shares her knowledge at the Surfaces Trade Show in Las Vegas where she conducts an annual seminar on design, development, and trends in area and accent rugs.
Caring for your Colonial Mills Rug
Retain the beauty of your rug with regular vacuuming using your vacuum's hard surface attachment. Do not use the beater bar on your rug. Remove spots with dry-cleaning fluid. Periodic professional dry cleaning is recommended. Smaller rug sizes (2 x 3 and smaller) are machine washable. Indoor/outdoor rugs can be sprayed with a garden hose and laid flat to dry. If threads loosen or break, simply sew together with a needle and strong thread. Trim, never pull, loose ends. Floor padding beneath the rug will help retain softness and prevent yarn color dye transfer. Please note that what may appear to be an irregularity in color or construction is actually part of the rug's unique homespun look. Reverse for twice the wear.
